On Monday, November 3, 2025, community members gathered at the Best Western Premier Hotel & Conference Center in Harrisburg for the 2nd Annual Suicide Prevention Conference. Centered around the empowering theme “You Can Be the Change,” the day-long event brought together dedicated board members and experts—including our inspiring Keynote Speaker, Dr. John Draper—to share knowledge, foster connection, and strengthen our collective efforts in suicide prevention. Alongside Dr. Kerrie Smedley, Morgan Jahnigen, Jen Hynes, Govan Martin, Blake Lorio, Pastor Kathleen Baker, and John Frain, the conference emphasized the vital role each of us plays in creating supportive environments and breaking the stigma around suicide. Through education, shared stories, and community collaboration, Dauphin County ASPIRE continues to inspire and equip all allies committed to making a meaningful difference.
