In an endeavor to spread awareness and extend a lifeline of hope, Dauphin County ASPIRE launched a poignant billboard campaign throughout Q4 of 2024. Spanning across the Harrisburg metro and Dauphin County, these 10 panels stood tall as beacons of support and understanding, reaching hearts and minds with messages of compassion and empowerment.
Each billboard featured the crucial 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, a vital resource for those in need of immediate support and guidance, alongside inspiring statements crafted to uplift spirits and remind individuals of their inherent worth. Messages such as “You matter,” “It’s never too late,” and “There is hope” served as gentle reminders of the resilience and strength that reside within each person, offering a glimmer of light in times of darkness.
Through the collective efforts of this campaign, each billboard garnered between 7,661 and 62,573 weekly impressions, amplifying the reach of these powerful messages and working tirelessly to dismantle stigma surrounding suicide. Every impression served as a seed of hope planted in the hearts of our community, nurturing a culture of empathy, understanding, and support for individuals grappling with mental health challenges.
